One of the reasons I have not been as anxious to jump into summer activities is because whitepowderruns.com is strictly wintry. All powder all the time. If it were up to us, we would chase the cycle of winter seasons instead of adapting to spring, summer, and fall activities in one region's mountains.
Being based in New York City allows one to witness many new phenomenons in their early stages. I remember seeing the Onewheel XR years ago and not thinking about it. Many of my city-dwelling snowboarding colleagues were Onewheel fans years ago, and anyone I know got one, had nothing but amazing things to say about the product. And as I maneuvered the streets of Greenpoint Brooklyn or the west side highway trail, or the Brooklyn, Manhattan, or Williamsburg Bridge, I saw countless "Onewheelers," but it still did not get my attention.
I'm not sure why it never resonated with me, being that I am a snowboarder that loves to float on powder. Still, all I can say is that after Ted Rosser of Onewheel explained the history and technology that makes up Future Motion Inc.'s Onewheel, it made sense that this product might also be for me.
Onewheel+ XR started as a unique project to build Kyle Doerksen's dream Onewheel for his personal use. "The smoothness of Onewheel+ but with more than twice the range for big adventures. Once we rode it, we knew it would be a game-changer and that we had to bring it into production."
Onewheel+ creator Future Motion Inc releases its new flagship product, Onewheel+ XR, an extended range model for on- and off-road journeys of 12-18 miles, a significant upgrade from the existing Onewheel +'s 6-8 mile range. The XR model also features increased power, torque, and higher performance for all riders.
"Onewheel+ XR is incredible for transportation," says Future Motion Founder and CEO Kyle Doerksen. "Having more range doesn't just let you go farther; it lets you change how you use it."
Future Motion, maker of the popular Onewheel electric boards, today introduced the revolutionary new Onewheel Pint. Announced at Future Motion's launch press event in Manhattan, Pint, the lightest and most affordable Onewheel ever, is now available for preorder at www.onewheel.com from just $950.
Onewheel's Pint is smaller and lighter than the XR, perfect for a city like New York or San Francisco.
"So many people want to get in on the Onewheel experience but haven't been able to afford it. This product unlocks the Onewheel experience for a massive new group of aspiring riders," says Future Motion founder and CEO Kyle Doerksen. "From the beginning, we've wanted to expand our product line to include a more approachable Onewheel for coffee shop runs, micro-adventures, commute-hacking, and casual riders. New York City is all about diversity, and Pint is about embracing the diversity of our riders. In the same way that a car company makes different cars for different purposes and people, Future Motion now offers several differentiated products designed for various uses rather than one-size-fits-all."
Onewheel's XR goes a little faster and is a little bigger, able to handle just about any terrain.
