What's up Whitepowderruns
I am Kenny Perkins of bern Unlimited.
Bern started with brim style, that's what we were known for and that all season multi-sport aspect. So we wanted to provide the best head protection possible that you can translate from the curb, street, water helmets, as well as on the mountain.
The MIPS line is for multi-impact protection. MIPS uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain's protection system. It is designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. MIPS helps to protect your brain and not just your skull.
MIPS head protection technology is changing the activity industry worldwide.
Our tried and true is the Watts helmet. This helmet is an all-season multi-sport helmet. You can purchase this helmet, shred down the mountain with it. And then in the spring, you can pull out the liner and put in one of our summer upgrades, and you are ready to go. It is dual certified for both bike and snow sports, and its more bang for the buck.
So we are really about diversity and value with our products, and as we've grown up through the years, we're designing more and more specific products to get you better, more innovative, lighter weight protective helmets.

The Weston Peak is our lightest helmets, removable helmet. It comes in really dialed, super light, BOA 360 degree hand sewn liner. And audio ready too so you can listen to whatever favorite music you want on your way down the slopes.
With a baseball-hat-inspired hard visor and classic bern styling, the Watts is at home on the morning commute, at the ski area, and on the bike path.
